Jerry Bruckheimer Asking $14.5 Million For Stunning 1960s Modern by Thornton Abell in Brentwood

Over the last three decades, Jerry Bruckheimer has made approximately a bajillion dollars producing blockbuster movies such as Beverly Hills Cop and the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, as well as such huge-grossing TV shows as CSI and The Amazing Race. As no one will be surprised to hear, the fabulously wealthy producer has also amassed an outsized amount of real estate over the years. Properties in his portfolio include a 400-acre ranch in Ojai, a 1,200-acre farm in Kentucky, and the two-acre Harry Cohn estate in Beverly Hills, which Bruckheimer shelled out $23 million for in 2013. Perhaps remodeling on the Robert Farquhar-designed residence has been completed, because the 71-year-old mogul is now looking to divest himself of one of his properties, the stunning Siskin House in Brentwood Park.

Designed by Case Study architect Thornton Abell in 1965, the International-style steel, glass, and wood residence is sited on a wooded three-quarters of an acre, and features, per the listing: “Voluminous high-ceilinged glass enclosed living room, formal dining, library/study, kitchen and breakfast room, media room. Master suite constitutes its own wing with private garden, double baths, many closets and full gym. Six guest bedrooms with four additional baths. Studio/guesthouse with bath and cooking facilities overlook the pool. Four hearths, atrium, hardwood floors, ponds all enclosed in private, meandering grounds.” According to the highly knowledgeable Real Estalker, Bruckheimer snagged the Siskin in the mid-80s for $1.865 million. It’s now listed at $14.5 million.
